Barska Scope Review: BARSKA-6-5-20×50-Varmint-Target-Riflescope

Peek-a-boo, I see you varmint!

Varmint hunting isn’t the same as target shooting. The target won’t stand still and can vanish out of sight the moment you get a lock on it with your scope-less rifle.

However, get a varmint target riflescope and you won’t have any trouble shooting at those pesky vermin before they scurry away with your garden potatoes. In this Barska scope review I’ll give the quick and dirty on the Barska 6.5 20×50 varmint target riflescope. The Barska scope isn’t just any scope. It is a varmint tracker on steroids! Let’s see how the riflescope ranks.

When precision is everything

Needless to say, the quality of a riflescope matters more than the quality of a rifle itself especially when it comes to long range shooting. A shooter can easily hit a target with a mediocre gun if he has a great riflescope. However, he will have difficulty shooting any target if his scope is of low quality even if he uses the best rifle on the market. In other words, riflescopes make a lot of difference when it comes to long range accuracy. The Barska 6.5 20×50 varmint target riflescope is manufactured for long range shooting.

The Barska Varmint Riflescope definitely provides the advantage when it comes to accurate and long range targeting. The multicoated optics delivers superior clarity while the large targeting lens is designed to boost light transmission.

Features

The good

There are some traits that I absolutely love about the Barska Varmint Riflescope. Some that caught my eye (no pun intended) include the following:

  • It is extremely easy to set up
  • Can target well beyond 200 yards
  • It is fog proof, shock and water proof
  • Multicoated optics allow shooters a clear image of their targets
  • Great for varmint hunting and target practice
  • 1/8 MOA click adjustments
  • Designed for precision and long range shooting

The not so good

This model is everything and a bag of chips. However there are some aspects that rubbed me the wrong way:

  • Eye relief leaves a lot to be desired
  • The bulk might not make it suitable for person who uses a rifle for the first time

Of course, there are also other varmint riflescopes by Barska that might be more up your alley. For example, you might prefer the Barska AC10828.8 32×50 AO Varmint scope as a better option.

Fortunately all Barska products come with a lifetime warranty so you can easily return or exchange the riflescope. Just make sure that you do so before the warranty expires. Of course, the brand wouldn’t be offering a lifetime warranty if it didn’t stand by the quality of its products.  That about wraps up my Barska scope review.  Your thoughts?
